Gong xi fa cai (Chinese Afternoon Tea)

It was a very special afternoon for K2 today. Over the past few weeks we have been building up to our service event of the Afternoon Tea with our elderly guests. The children have been responsible for getting the classroom ready by painting cherry blossom pictures and making firecrackers to hang.  All of the K2ZBr families collected items for the shoe boxes which were then creatively coloured by the children. The excitement multiplied by 100% when the children returned to class in the afternoon. They did settle down and play games, gradually gaining the confidence to talk to our visitors. It was a heart warming experience watching everyone learning how to engage with each other and I hope the video captures some of this.
